I'm back! The past few months have been a whirlwind for me. I made the choice to return to school and obtain a college degree. I have been spending my time doing tons of homework, writing tons of papers, and studying, studying, studying!!! Guess what? My hard work paid off and I finished my first semester with a 4.0 GPA! Not too shabby for a 46 year old woman!
Since I was writing so much and thinking so much, I haven't done much in the way of baking or doll making. However, I am ready to give the left side of my brain a break and get the right side back to work. Heidi (I know it's been a couple of months so I will refresh your memory; Heidi is my daughter) asked if I could make some cookies that she could give as a gift to her friend. This friend happens to like sugar cookies and the color pink so I went with the obvious choice of frosted sugar cookies. I don't know about you, but I love big, soft sugar cookies. However, finding a recipe that actually makes this type of cookie is a challenge. I have tried various recipes with not so satisfactory results. After I baked Soft Frosted Sugar Cookies from Annie's Eats, my search ended. This recipe is a keeper. The cookies are BIG and SOFT. I thought the frosting was a touch too sweet for my taste but I still found myself wanting to eat "just one more". I think you will too! Try this cookie recipe. You won't be disappointed.
Aren't these beauties pretty in pink?
