Banana Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake

I have two large three ring binders filled with recipes that are "keepers". While this is a good thing, sometimes recipes can be overlooked .  The other day I pulled out my trusty "Baking" binder and I came across this beauty of a recipe. I had forgotten all about this bundt cake. Which is really weird because each time I make it, everyone goes bananas over it. I think you will too. Next time you have overly ripe bananas sitting on your counter, don't monkey around- bake this cake!

Banana Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake

1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
3 ripe bananas
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
Dash of salt
1 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease and flour a bundt pan.
Cream the butter and sugar together. Add eggs and beat until a nice pale yellow. In another bowl, mash bananas and then mix in milk and vanilla. Stir in chocolate chips. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add nuts.  Alternate adding the banana mixture and the flour mix into the mixture of butter, sugar and eggs. Pour into prepared bundt pan. Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes. Remove from oven. Cool for ten minutes, then remove from pan. Cool completely. Sift powdered sugar on top of cake.
